Little man...

Here's a few random pictures of Roman sleeping yesterday and 1 from this morning.

Our little lamb...

Yesterday I came out to check on the baby in his swing- and this is what I found! Cotton balls taped to his head! Grace came up behind me and said, " He's our little lamb." I couldn't stop laughing...

Grace starts Kindergarten tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the big day for Miss Gracie pants. Yesterday we went and met her teacher and took a tour of the school. We met her teacher last Thursday when we went to meet the big kids teachers.( Mrs Thomas reminds me 100% of you Christy! I have found your long lost sister- and it was SO WEIRD! You guys sound exactly the same, You are both adorable, wear the cutest, tinest clothes, are the size of my pinky, are super sweet and I felt like I had spent a hour hanging out with you!!! We even talked about IKEA) She will be the perfect match for Grace and she is BEYOND ready! She's been reading for the longest time, writing her own songs and stories and has been ready to go to school FOREVER now! I'm excited for her to have something just for her. I love you Gracie Grace!

Family Home Evening...

Trav & I do pretty good with FHE, but we recently talked about how we need to spend a little more time & effort planning our lessons and getting the kids more involed because they are getting older. EVERY time we have it, our activity afterwards is "exercise" and every time after that, the kids and Papa do the "bridge". It's basically where everyone makes a bridge and one person gets to crawl underneath and then they rotate turns. When it comes to Trav, the kids know what happens next- total chaos and destruction as Papa crawls underneath lifting each one of them in the air! They love it, they laugh, they ask to do it again and then they are as hyper as can be as we try to get them to settle down and get ready for bed. Just had to get all the exciting action!

1st day of school...

We just got back from walking the big kids to school- today is their 1st day! Tristin is in 5th and Daisy is in 2nd! Grace starts on Thursday so she still has a few more days. After we gave hugs & kisses, I watched the kids walk away and find their friends. I was walking home but turned 1 more time to just watch them. Tristin was standing with Liam & Cody and for some reason tears started to come. I said a little prayer and asked God for good friends. I instantly saw Tristin as a teenager and invisioned those years for a split second. Again I whispered, "Please Lord, surround them with good friends." Every Mom worries when they send their kids off to school. I know all the emotions are normal, healthy and great for me to process- it was just a moment. Tristin waved one last time before I turned around. Daisy found her friends, hugged and then walked away. My babies are growing up... (After an intense talk with Daisy about head lice, she promised to stay away from any kid scratching their head, not sit on on fabric couches or chairs in the library, keep her jacket in her backpack and no hugs w/friends that involve heads touching. I told her I'm sorry for ruining apart of her childhood, but we both agreed it was worth it to spare us the horror once again.)Happy 1st day of school my sweet angels!

Art time...

Last night I put away the other computer that no longer worked and turned that desk into the girl's art table. I pulled out a bunch of supplies and they have been making art projects for hours today! So much better than sitting in front of the stupid TV, computer or Kindle for hours!

Funny...

Having another boy has been a lot of fun, except for dealing with the crazy pee flying every where when we change his diaper! Having my boys 10 years apart helped me forget about how crazy the "boy parts" can be. The funny thing is- It didn't even cross my mind that I would be dealing with "it" until I was at my baby shower watching my friend Christy change her little guys diaper. All of a sudden it hit me that: Ohmigosh, I am going to be dealing with "boy parts" again! Holy cow! So last week I was letting Roman air dry for awile to help with his rash. He was laying on my bed as you see in the pictures and Willow was on the other side of the bed playing on my Kindle. I was on the floor folding laundry. I turned him over to dry the front and cf course covered his "private" so there wouldn't be an accident. I left the room for 3 seconds (to put towels away in the bathroom that is only a few feet away) when I heard Willow yell: "Mom, baby yoman just peed on me!" I came back in and sure enough the little guy managed to pee half way over the other side of the bed, pee on Willow and pee all over my Kindle! I laughed so hard. I also sanatized the heck out of my sweet Kindle. Anyway, I just had to document the blessed event before I forgot it! The pictures were taken before there was pee everywhere!

I tried a new recipe!

I was on a site yesterday that had an amazing looking recipe. It was for her pepperoni rolls. We made them yesterday for lunch and we ate the whole pan! She also made taco bites that I'll have to try soon! (gunnysack.com) I was proud for trying something new even if it only called for a few items! (I didn't include oregano, parm cheese, garlic salt and brushed egg for the top)

Free stuff the past week...

I have not been keeping track of my savings this year like I have years past- but I noticed that each year I was averaging a savings of about $10,000 so when I got pregnant, and no longer cared about anything, I pretty much stopped taking pictures and calculating. This week was fun though for free stuff. Last week I got 3 Albertson's orange juices, 2 pastas, 2 Pepsi's, 2 donuts, 2 Scotch tapes, 4 color crayons and 3 gallons of milk! Yeah for free! Today I picked up 4 toothpastes & 10 carefree panty liners for free with round ups(I got other stuff too for cheap, just not free. Speghetti sauce, butter, gummy bears, marshmallows) There were a bunch of items that were gone by the time I got there and a few items that were good deals, but I was already stocked up on.
