Happy 36th birthday!

I could post pictures for hours. My sweet Trav is 36 today and as I type that, it feels old to me. We've been together almost 15 years and it's weird to think I met him right off his mission when he was 21. Regaurdless of a few grey hairs, I love that man. He is so good and I would be lost without him. He's a terrific Papa and the sweetest husband. Just the other day, he cut out construction paper hearts for me, priceless. I love you Trav, Happy Birthday!

Weaning Roman...

15 months is a long time to breastfeed, I know, but tell Mr. Roman you are stopping and see how sad that makes him. He has not been a happy camper as I've been working on weaning him. It's such a crappy process. I'm down to 1 or 2 very short feedings with him a day now. Nursing is strange enough, feeding a ginormous toddler is even weirder and then trying to get your body to stop producing and your kid to understand why his favorite past time is dwindling- is never fun. He is doing great in his crib though I must say, I just wish his 2 am wake ups and early-to-rise sessions would stop. My sleep is barely exsistant to begin with, but getting a few hours a night chopped up in tiny bits is getting really old. I just want to sleep a few hours straight. One day, right?

Sick Willow...

Saturday night Miss Willow started throwing up in the middle of the night. Of course there was no warning, of course it was all over our carpet and of course it hasn't passed yet. We are 3 days into it and just when I swear she's on the mend, she has more explosive episodes. All over the carpet. I put sheets down at night, I cover things I don't want sprayed with vomit, but the poor girl is still pretty miserable. There's nothing worse than watching your tiny 4 year old puking over the toilet and crying because she hurts so much. No one else has had it yet, which is a blessing, but the past 3 nights have been pretty rough. I don't get much sleep to begin with, so the last 72 hours have been brutal. Get better honey bear.

A cloudy picnic...

The other day the girl's took all their treasures outside and had a picnic. At one point they had all their winter clothes on, they were sliding into the swimming pool and jumping on the tramp. They looked pretty cute out there lounging in an empty swimming pool. laughing and having a good time.

Trick or treating...

Saturday after the Primary program practice, we took the kids to the car dealership to go trick or treating. We took Zoe with us and they had a great time!

Football Game...

Friday night we took dinner over to Sister Green's while Trav watched the BSU/BYU football game. Sister Green was babysitting Laura's kiddos that night too- so all 7 ran around playing, they had fun!

Breakfast with G-pa...

G-pa has been coming over a few times a week to walk the kids to school. Afterwards, we've been getting breakfast at McDonalds before going out to run our errands. Willow had fun on Friday playing at the remodeled play house (looking back, this is probably where she caught the stomach flu. If so, this is why I HATE these places and if not, I still hate these places!)

Green Marker...

Mr. Roman was not wanting to go to bed the other night and he apparently didn't know the cap was off his marker as he hugged it to his face!

The devil made her do it...

I wish I knew what possessed sweet, innocent, angel-like 4 year old's to cut their hair. If I knew- Mom's across the universe would thank me. Really Willow??? I handled it very well, and I can still pull a lot of it back- but I was NOT happy about it, I'm still angry, but what do you do? I keep the scissors up, but wouldn't you know- she chopped it with the art scissors!

Random...

Here's a few random pics: Roman being silly in his highchair, the kids playing computer, Grace reading 5 books on the couch and Roman laying on the floor while Trav did dishes. That's life over at our house!

A long ride...

The 3 places I feel the most at peace are: the temple, the ocean and on a motorcycle. There is just something so freeing about being on a bike, I could ride all day if I could so of course I was thrilled to go on a long ride with Dad last week. My friend Emily watched the kiddos and I dropped them off at 11:00, then drove over to Dad's. We drove up to Horseshoe Bend and had lunch at a little Mexican resturant, and then drove over and down into Emmett. We had the most gorgous day for riding. Although cold in the morning, it was pure Heaven. We dressed warm, enjoyed the sun and awed over the breath taking colors of Fall. The air was crisp, the ride was great and we even stopped and said Hi to Shane & Chelsea while we were a few blocks away. Sadly, it was time to go home though. 5 hours wasn't long enough, but I was greatful for the fun day we had together. Thanks Dad!
