I'm back!!!!!

All I can say is, it is great to be back in the land of the living!!! I've never been more excited to work on laundry, clean the house, run errands, make dinner, take care of the kids, do yard work, go to the park, help with homework, go to church, shower,go to work,do my visiting teaching, take the kids over for play dates, sign them up for Summer activities, go out with girlfriends, get caught up on my coupons, have story time & get the kids ready for bed, in all my life! It feels great to be up and contributing to my life again! Those first 14 weeks I just wanted to die, and then magically, it (almost)all faded, the cloud lifted and I actually cared about changing the clothes I had been wearing for the past 5 days straight!

I'm 16 1/2 weeks now and it is amazing to feel the baby moving and watch my body change/grow. Although expanding thighs, an aching chest and clothes that no longer fit do not thrill me, I'm so thankful that I can/and have been able to experience this. I would happily give a billion dollars NOT to have to go through pregnancy, but God has refused to consider my "grow a baby capsule idea" & my "zipper pouch theory" (no vaginal deliveries ladies, just, unzip, pull the baby out, and go!) so here I am trying to love this part of motherhood, while struggling with the concept of why it takes 40 weeks to get them here. (Probably because I haven't got that "patience & long suffering" thing down yet!) ....no, I am kidding. I am thankful beyond words at the oppertunity to bring children into the world. I am incredibly blessed and cannot wait for this little one to arrive.

I am SO excited for our garden!

The only things I've been excited about the past few months have been nap time, bed time, American Idol, clean bed sheets to lay in all day, Lysol wipes for the toilet seat so I could rest my head on it and my comfortable sweats. Nothing else has even mattered. But, I must say, I am now filled with joy and excitement as the gardening season is almost here! I've even found myself day dreaming about my square foot garden! Who have I turned into? I'm still wondering myself! I started my Yard Sale list and everything on it is canning related too!. We had a very busy day (or should I say Trav did as I was pretty useless. I did till up some dirt with the back of a hammer, but that's about it!)Here are some pictures of our new garden. We are excited to start planting!

Easter...

Here are the kids looking over their loot & on their way to church. Can I say how amazing my husband is! He has taken the kids to church every Sunday by himself for the past 10 weeks! I love that man!

A very low key Easter...

This year we had Easter all by ourselves. Trav's parents were staying the weekend with his sister to help with the new baby, so no big family gathering this year. I was feeling really sick anyway, so another day in bed was fine by me. We did manage to have a few minutes of fun. We dyed Easter eggs, had an Easter egg hunt and made our bunny cake (and we even talked about the real meaning of Easter and how it has nothing to do with any of that!)

 Pregnancy Ticker

Almost 14 weeks!

My Dr, app. today went great and that little heartbeat was thumping away like crazy! It was nice to go in and be reminded that all the vomit and laying around has been worth it!

The best friends ever...

All of you who know me- know that I never slow down, I never stop and NEVER let people help me.So I always laugh and say that early pregnancy is God's way of trying to get me to learn how to master these things. Well, this past month, has been horrible. I've been up or out of my house for 4 days combined and I have watched more TV in the past 8 weeks than I have in my entire life! My sweet husband magically turned into my "man servant" bringing me anything that didn't sound revolting, and my wonderful friends have been incredibly sweet taking care of me. I can't even count how many times Angie has picked up/dropped off Daisy to play with her little girl,Tammy brought over some medicine to help with the vomiting, but sadly, it didn't do the trick, Lisa has been picking up Tristin in the mornings and has been dropping him off at school for me, Michelle brought over homemade cookies & bread the other night,Chelsea read my mind and brought me pumpkin/chocolate cookie/muffins last week, Annikan brought me popsicles that I was craving (probably due to being dehydrated) and Shane & Chelsea came over yesterday and cleaned the house for hours! I just wanted to say thank you SOOOO much for helping, you have no idea how much I have appriciated it. I love you all and thanks for listening to me whine & complain. You are the best friends a girl could have!!
