Present and decorations...

I only had a few weeks to plan anything for moms party. In that time I was able to make & send out an invite, gather 60 letters from family & friends, make a few Queen decorations & party favors, gather pictures for 3 posters, order/fax a cake over to Washington, get time off work, pull the kids out of school a day, pack and drive over to make it for the big event! Mom loved her present and I am SO grateful for those who took the time to make that gift happen. There was a lot of emailing, texting, calling and bugging people to get them done, but we did it and it turned out great!Besides her 6 cans of hairspray- that's my favorite gift I think I've ever given her. I love you Mom. (There's a ton more pictures, scroll to older posts to see them!)

The drive home...

We left Monday morning a little after 9:00 am and made it home 8:30Pm our time. It was a long 1100 miles, but we made it safe and the kids were great. Going home they were more cranky, but this was the best trip they've had behavior wise! Yeah! There were no accidents, no car problems like I was worried about and we took showers, brushed teeth, got Pj's on and went to bed, we were pretty tired from an awesome weekend trip home. Happy Birthday Mama! We love you and were so glad to go home for your party. You mean the world to us!

Fun at G-ma April's...

We met at Mom's Sunday for lunch and then hung out for hours playing cards, watching TV, visiting, eating and laying around! It was a great afternoon. We took the older kids back to Uncle Jake's at dinner time and then went back to G-ma's to get some sleep before our long drive home.

Roman...

When we were home, the 4 big kids stayed at Uncle Jake & Aunt April's house for a few nights while Trav, Roman and I stayed at my G-ma's. I had fun playing with Roman in the back yard. He sure is growing up!

The party...

After lunch I took Mom out for a few hours. We had some time to kill before her party and her day had already been taken over by people surprising her with differnt activities. Alicia was there to meet her at the casino, then Sara picked her up from there and took her to get her nails done, then Eli took her shopping where he insisted on buying her treasures she never would have purchased herself. Next it was lunch with the grand kids, and then time with me. We walked around Wal Mart, bought a curling iron, went to the dollar store and back to tawnya's to curl her hair. She didn't know the plans for the rest of the day and by that time, Trav, Eli, Brent, Sara and Alicia were already at Scoreboard setting up for the party while I kept Mom busy. I think we surprised her!
