Little man...

Roman...

Why am I just learning about these things???

So there are 2 things that I've recently discovered that I have found to be life changing: # 1- Kid History. Seriously, it's about the funniest thing I've ever seen! I'm in love. # 2- Oxi- clean. Why am I just now discovering this on my 5th child? It's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I never thought I'd get my favorite outfit of Roman's clean (you know the baby mustard poop that stains everything they own? Well, it totally cleaned it!)Just had the thank the Heaven's for these 2 sweet little treats that have recently stolen my heart!

School carnival...

Last night we went to the kids school carnival. They had a lot of fun playing games, eating hot dogs & popcorn, winning books, prizes and treats and I had fun winning a $ 5.00 Sonic card! Yeah! This year I'm biting the bullet and signing up for PTA. I've needed to do it every year and I just haven't gotten around to doing it. I might be on the board (my friend is the President and invited me, so we'll see!)

My little man...

Roman is such a sweet little baby. I thank the Lord too, because I don't know if I could handle anything else. He gets carried around by everyone and he's such a trooper being dressed up like a princess and a lamb with cotton balls taped to his head. He's a great eater and he loves to sleep. Yesterday I was holding him and I had a "mommy moment". It felt like time stopped and it was just him and I. I held him, kissed him and just enjoyed every second of being with him. I am incredibly grateful to be a Mother. It's difficult, but it's the best thing in the entire world. I love my little man. (and don't ask what Willow was doing naked kissing him- who knows anymore! The kids are up to silly things these days!)

The broom....

Yesterday Willow said, "Mommy, look!" When I turned around, she started flinging the broom around in circles. Pretty amazing!

Corn is complete!

I love the days were you're up to your arms in fruit or veggies and the house is a mess, the kids have watched hours of TV, your feet ache, the dishes are crazy, the kitchen floor is littered with bits of food, the laundry hasn't been touched in days, dinner wasn't made- but at the end of it, you have food! Amazing sweet food that you know your family will enjoy all year long! I was able to get 75 bags done the past few days (Cammy helped me with 30!)and I am happy to say, I'm done! A few things that made corn AMAZING this year was # 1- a bundt pan and # 2- Pampered Chefs corn peeler (my wonderful friend Kristen let me borrow her's. She sells Pampered Chef too- so if you need one, she's your girl!)The girls had fun helping a little too, here they are working their magic.

Corn!

Almost every year we have the oppertunity to go to my sister-in-laws house to pick corn! We love Aunt Cammy & Uncle Ben and they are ALWAYS so sweet to let us stay, pick, play and have fun. They only live 2 1/2 hours away so it really isn't too bad of a drive. We left Friday at 4:00 PM and came home last night at 11:00 PM. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins and the kitties! Grace was in Heaven and literally held a cat 75% of the time we were there. They love being in the country because they get every thing I deny them: Dirt & animals! We had a great time too. Cammy helped me do 30 bags of freezer corn so the next few days I'll be busy trying to double that if not more. Thanks Aunt Cammy & Uncle Ben!

Randomness...

Tristin had his first lawn mowing job a few days ago! He is definatly growing up and learning the value of a dollar. It will be a weekly event until the weather changes and he earns $ 5.00 for just the front yard! Good job Buddy! Also, the girls have been dressing up their baby brother in princess nightgowns lately. It's kinda weird to see him in pink and purple!

A lazy morning...

This morning has been a lazy one, and boy has it felt great! My Visiting teacher came over and brought me the best gifts ever- tomatoes, zuchinni bread, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, jalapanos and shredded zuchinni with reciepes to try! Willow and I played "cheater" Candyland were you put all the cards face up and pick the one you want! I've watched You Tube videos, and SNL re runs all while snuggling a cute little baby. I've cleaned a little- but it's been a lazy one around here! Only having 2 kids at home right now is nice and strange at the same time! I better get to the laundry though!

Willow with braids...

I have to bribe, scare and threaten this child to keep her pony tails & hair clips in. We have an agreement: as long as she keeps them in at the store/while we are out, she can take them out when we get home. It's been working really well except for the fact that she looks like a complete motherless child with her hair ALWAYS in her face! I braided her hair awhile ago and she cried a million tears. She's kept them in for awhile because I threatened her with the loss of her Kindle time if she removed them! I'm so nice huh?

And she's off...

Grace was really excited to go to school today. It was probably the smoothest morning we have ever had getting ready! When I asked her if she wanted me to stay with her for awhile, she said, "No, I'll be ok." Daisy and Tristin were right with her going in for breakfast, so she was taken care of. I didn't cry as she walked awhile. I was more happy and relieved for her. She has needed this for a really long time and I'm so grateful she will have something more exciting than myself to entertain her.
