Settlers Park...
I think I'm the only Mama who hasn't taken their kids to this amazing park, because today was our first day going. How awesome! It was pretty much the coolest park I've ever seen. The kids had LOTS of fun! Thanks for inviting me Annikan!
A day at the dump...
Lets just say I was the silly woman, with 4 kids, who forgot which county she lived in,who went the wrong way and had to back up in a HUGE truck filled to the brim with junk, then wore flip flops to the dump, had no gloves, left, got in line and had a man knock on my window and say " I think you forgot your tarp back there", had to get out of line and turn around, go back and retrieve my stuff, then I had to fold up the GINORMOUS tarp by myself while getting in the tractors way, then I drove on the scale when I wasn't suposed to and finally checked out. I missed Trav, that's for sure. Those tie downs were a pain too- that's what I get, I guess (did I mention we went to the dump the day before, but they were CLOSED?!
Good Intentions...
Every day I have had a burning, nagging feeling telling me to get over and help weed at the church garden, so yesterday morning, I took the kids over and we attempted... the impossible. We were told to work on the tomatoes, which we did for about 15 minutes. We were litterally sinking, sliding and losing our shoes in the drenched dirt/mud. They had watered the day before, but it was silly, we could hardly move! So after shaking my head in shame and filled with guilt, I loaded the kids back in the car (after making Tristin strip to his undies because he was COVERED in mud)At least we tried, and at least my kids will have memories of working in the garden. We'll go back, just hopefully we will be able to work a little longer. The Lord knows the intents of our hearts right???
Another night at Andrea's...
