Taking a little break...

For the next few weeks, we are taking a little break from the kids activities. I'm so greateful they have been involved (they needed it) but boy, driving kids around everywhere can be crazy! We had stuff going every night of the week except Friday nights! Tristin was in guitar lessons for 3 months (THANK YOU UNCLE JESSE!!!). They were all in gymnastics for a month, and they all recently finished swim lessons at the Rec. (Tristin has scouts on Thursday's) And at the end of the month Grace will start T-ball- but then that's it- I'm done. Then, the baby will be here and just keeping my head on straight will be a challenge, I'm sure!

Field day for Tristin...

On Tuesday ,Tristin had field day so the girls and I went over for 40 minutes to watch. He did great & got 5th place. The problem was- it was kind of hot and I got sun burned of course. Seroiusly, my skin is terrible! Here's to my upcoming farmers tan! Can't wait! On Tuesday I also got Grace regestered for Kindergarten! She is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready. The girl reads like crazy. Kid books, scriptures, church manuals- anything. It's awesome. And weird. And super. She will do great, I know- she'll be like daisy in class, helping all the other kids with stuff!

Getting what I deserve...

So, the dreams have been crazy- still. One night it was mass destruction, end of the world stuff. Another dream Trav was losing his job. There are a few I can't remember- but yesterday's dream tops the chart I think! In my dream there was this super hot actor with his shirt off. (Don't worry!) His muscles were A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! I mean, completley beautiful. Like something sculpted straight from God himself. I was stunned and in love and I told him straight to his face that he had the most amazing muscles on earth. But I kept going. I told him about 100 times how great he looked, how breathtaking the sight was, how beautiful he was and on and on I went. Well, I must have thought too many "impure thoughts" because the next thing I knew I woke up to the sound of myself yelling at the top of my lungs over and over. I had the worst leg cramp in the world and my left calf was as hard as a rock. All I could do was yell "ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch" like a bazillion times. Tristin dashed in my room and said, "Mom, what is wrong?" Through the pain and tears I said, "My leg. My leg. My leg" (The poor kid thought I was having the baby right there in my room, and honestly, it sounded that bad!)My leg was all contorted and all I could do was yell and wait for the muscle to relax. I minute or two later, it did- but holy cr*p- it was awful! After it was done and I was put back together I laughed at the situation and how God must have been paying me back for all my naughty thoughts about Mr Amazing. So I vowed & promised to the Lord, I would never admire another man with his shirt off again!I guess sometimes we get what we deserve!(The sad part is, my calf kills every time I walk. It's So sore, I made Trav rub it last night!)

A sucsessful Yard Sale!

Well, we survived the yard sale. I'm not sure if we completely over do it every single time- but they honestly kick our butts! They are SOOOOO exhausting! Normally I'm picking up tons of friends stuff, tons of tables from everyone on the planet, setting up their stuff, collecting their money, then cleaning up, delivering their stuff back, with their tables and dropping off money- but this time I didn't. I just didn't have the energy like normal. We did get Lisa's furniture packed in the truck and hauled over- but that was about it this time. We had a lot of fun even though we got hit with a CRAZY wind & rain storm the first day. We did well in the morning- so it wasn't that bad. I made enough to get my next blog book and I'm SUPER excited!!! I love hanging out with my sweet Angie, but honestly, that's my last sale for the year!

Playing dress up...

These 3 make me laugh most of the time... they played dress up yesterday forever- it was so cute.

Yard sale...

This week has been a little crazy preparing for the yard sale this weekend at Angie's house. Of course there is rain expected tomorrow, but I guess compared to our snow storm last year- this will be nothing right? Just trying to get a few pictures up before the next few days are filled with craziness!

Sunday Walk...

Sunday evening was beautiful so we walked to the park and let the kids get all their energey out before bedtime!

Aunt Tawnya comes to town...

My step sister, tawnya flew in on Friday for a little vacation with her boyfriend, Sung. We got together Friday night for dinner 7 then went back to their hotel to go swimming. I opted out of that plan, so I just watched from the side as my darling husband delt with 4 kiddos in the water (yeah, I know I should have gotten in!) Yesterday we picked them up from the hotel and brought them back to our house for pizza and a movie. It was great to finally meet Sung and visit with Aunt Tawnya for awhile. I'm not sure if we will make it to Seattle after the baby arrives, we will see how up to it I feel when the time comes.( And please ignore my 13 chins in the 2nd picture!)

Yard Sale treasures...

I think I have all the big stuff I need for the baby now. This weekend I found a bassinett for $ 15.00 (it sings, vibrates, rocks or stands still & is white) I wanted to make a really cool cradel or find a cool vintage one to repaint and totally fix up- but then I got realistic and reminded myself- the last month is pure awfulness, so don't plan anything then, the 8th month is crazy time to get everything done that HAS to get done, so I knew I had a few weeks left to have a yard sale, organize the sheds (a ginormous project!)and do "fun stuff" before my 500 pounds weighs me down completely and I can no longer move! I also found a swing for $ 10.00! It even plugs into the wall! No more batteries! Although the fabric is not my choice and the dangeling animals do not excite me- I think I will just leave it alone. I'm tired of pretending I know how to recover things. I'll spend my time on things I know will look ok in the end. I found more colored ink as well for $ 5.00! (I was wanting to stock up on ink after we got our tax $, but I hadn't got around to it- Thank you Lord for the good deals on ink- I've saved A TON!)For $10.00 I know have 1 black cartridge & 3 colored ones! Yeah!

What does a girl need to do to get some sleep around here???

I awoke this morning at 4:30, to crashing sounds outside my window. I opened my eyes and realized I wasn't dreaming some crazy dream and suddenly panicked. Something wild was going on outside and it was loud. I touched Trav's arm and said, "babe- something is happening." He woke up and heard the crashing sounds and yelled out, Tristin?" There was no answer. He shot up out of bed and down the hall toward the back porch. I, being much slower, crawled out of bed and started down the hall- but then I stopped. Who do I protect? My children, who's doors I was right outside of? Or my husband? It was actually a terrifying decision. I heard Trav yelling something outside and stayed where I was. Stay by your babies. The other option was me wobbling down the hallway in my underware with my huge old belly hanging out to protect my husband against some really loud robbers. (It might have scared them away though... I 'll remember that for the future!) I heard him come back in and close the door. I peaked around the corner and said, "What was it?" Half shocked and half laughing he said, "It was a cat. With this on it's head." He held up something in the dark but I couldn't make out what it was. "What is it?" I asked. "A chip bag!" He laughed. "What?" I asked laughing back. "The cat had a chip bag stuck on it's head and it couldn't see. It was wobbling around bumping into stuff so I called out "Hey Cat", walked over to it and took it off it's head." He said the cat looked around all bewildwered and then shot off like a bullet out of our yard. I stood there in my underware laughing, thinking, You stupid cat. First you poop EVERYWHERE around my house: in the front yard, in the dirt by my door, on the side of the house, in the rocks, in my garden, in the back yard, in the rocks between the sheds, in the grass, in the dirt by the back windows and on the side in the back- and now you are waking my up at 4:30 AM when I had a good 15 minutes left before the alarm went off???!!! I hate you I thought- but I was laughing at the image of it's ugly head stuck in a bag bumping into all the kids toys (and metal basket which was loud)on the back porch! Finally, sweet revenge. So, no wild dreams to report last night, just a good scare that turned out to be a stupid cat with a chip bag stuck on it's head!
