Living like a Queen!

If anything else falls apart over here, breaks down, begins smoking or begins gushing water everywhere, I think I might bury myself in a hole and never return! The past few months have been CRAZY over here! With all these new appliances, I feel like a Queen living in a magical palace! (I wish! If only spending $ on these dumb things brought me happiness, I'd be dancing on the tables by now!)we have had to replace our furnace which had a crack in it, replace a wall because of mold in the panrty due to our hot water heater, then clean up a flood a few weeks later from the stupid water heater and then replace the darn thing! Our dish washer started acing up last year and then finally we could not start it anymore. We bought one from a couple at church and were happy to not have to wash dishes by hand anymore! Don't get me started on the dryer, which Trav and another guy from church tried to fix and then out of pure desire, I figured I'd get a new fridge too! (After taking ours out and seeing all the rust on the main parts, I'm glad we did it- who knows how much time that old thing had left in it!) Anyway- ask me how thrilled I am to have spent our beautiful tax money on such needed but expensive items! Geesh! Little recap: Furnace, Hot water heater, dish washer, dryer, washer, fridge, That only leaves a few things left to break down around here! Several months ago my washer started smoking, so that was replaced, I'm sure our air conditioner is next- but I think we might be good for a little while, what do you think?! And yes I realize I sound like a spoiled brat, I am truely grateful for how comfortable my life is and how blessed I am, it just becomes difficult being patient while trying to take care of these wild monkeys!*** Jana- I'm using the cute tins you gave me in my fridge! Thank you!!

Grace lost her 2nd tooth!

Yesterday Grace lost her 2nd tooth! It has hanging by a thread so I reached in and yanked the darn thing out so she would keep her fingers out of her mouth, it was grossing me out! Sadly, she lost her tooth, but Daisy wrote a note in her behalf and magically the tooth fairy found her!

Relief Society Tea Party...

A few days ago we had our RS Birthday Dinner and it was a great success! Teena and I worked for months and then when Virginia was called to the activity's committee, she worked like crazy as well. Between the 3 of us and many helping hands- we did it! It looked great, the ladies dressed up, the food was awesome and I think the real spirit of RS was felt. Not only that, I am glad to be done with it as well! I know that's awful, but this is one of our biggest activities and it always takes everything out of us. Thanks to everyone who helped- we love and appriciate you!

When it rains, it pours...

We were just getting settled into our callings when out of no where the dam broke and the flood came. In the past few weeks we have had 3 funerals: 1 being an elderly passing, 1 being a suicide of the sweetest man in the world and the other an unexpected death of a young man almost ready to come from the hospital after a succesful operation. We have also been in the middle of a HUGE project for a family in our ward that has tested all of our strength, love, endurance, patience and personal weakness's. I think we are all trying to wrap our minds around what has happened, let alone give our hearts time to heal from all the sadness. It has been the craziest few weeks ever, and an incredibly sad time for so many people. I am very grateful to my Heavenly Father for the lessons I have learned these past few weeks as I have attempted to serve with a loving heart. I have been tried and tested in ways I wasn't ready for and brought to tears a dozen times over the awfulness of situations. I have hurt, ached for and never hoped for brighter days in all my serving years. The Lord has taught me many things as I have wept at his feet in humility and screamed his name for answeres to why. I have been stretched to my limits, brought to my end, and then realed back in to feel his amazing love and forgivness moments later. All I know is that when we serve, we grow to love the people. I am grateful and changed because of that.

Willow's boy kisser...

I was pretty shocked when Grace informed me this was Willow's boy kisser. It was made to help her practice kissing! What???

Daisy's baptism...

Andrea wasn't in any baptism pictures and of course the only one we got was with her scary eyes! Love you!

Karate...

We have Tristin & Grace in karate right now and neither of them want to go anymore, hence the reason we try things for 1 month! They have to finish their last week though! ( I think a different class would be better for them)
