Need baby shower gifts? Or holiday presents?
In my free time, I'm sewing up a few things and making some holiday gifts! If you need any let me know. I posted a few baby things on craigslist. I have onsies & binky sets for $ 4.50 each (size newborn & 0-3 months) and diaper/wipe holders for $ 2.00 right now. More is coming! Let me know if you need anything special!

The things a Mom will do...
Maybe I'm crazy, or maybe I just like to make ugly things cute, either way, yesterday was spent sewing for Cheeto. Yup, I spent hours sewing for a rodant. Laugh if you will, but I even googled guinea pig clothes! I'm not sure if I will go that far, but I kind of thought about a cute knited sweater! I had to dress up his ugly cage so I sewed a top blanket and a matching ruffle to cover the hunter green. (He's downstairs where it's a little colder, so I thought he would appriciate some warmth. And yeah, I know he's a boy, but he's getting stripes and polka dots on everything! Sorry Buddy,) I bought disposable gloves so I had to make a little bag for them to go in, plus a few carrying pouches for the kids. I labled most of his supplies and I happily await when I get to clean his cage later today! Yeah! I also made a daily chore chart for the kids listing their responsibilities. Every week I (or Papa) will clean the cage, but the rest of the week, the kids are semi in charge. I am trying. Really hard.

So, how is it going you ask???
It is going Ok. There are parts that melt my heart and there are moments I wonder if I can really do this for a long period of time. I am freaking out about the hair so we have established a "pet apron & gloves" area. The kids are washing their hands like mad and we are removing poop like crazy! Why didn't anyone tell me about that??? Yesterday I watched you-tube videos for about a hour on how to care for your beloved pet and couldn't believe some of the people out there. I can tell you one thing- I am not going to let this little critter run around my living room, that's for sure! I think the poor thing is still in shock as he has endured a lot in the past few days. He started out in the back of the pet store and the day we bought him was his first day being with the other pets. Then we brought him home to quiet DeArley's house and got him situated, then 24 hours later, we uprooted him and he came to our super loud house, then he's been held a million times by super excited kids who have never had a pet, then yesterday he had his first bath. That was a horrifying experience for both of us, let me tell you! We have discovered he loves carrots and dislikes being chased around his cage so one of the kids can get him out. Oh and by the way, did I mention I think I am allergic to the wonderful thing too? Yeah, I am super excited about that. There's nothing better than feeling like I have swallowed a hair ball. We will see how things continue... wish me luck!

Mr Man...
My Mom bought the cutest turkey onsie from a lady at work. Roman wore it to church yesterday and LOVED the ribbon on it. He kept pulling and chewing on it, so it was a hit! Thanks Mama!
We have a pet! Welcome Cheeto to the family!
Saturday night when we got back from our Thanksgiving travels, I called DeArley to see if she wanted to go shopping. I had some coupons and there were a few Black Friday/weekend deals I wanted to still check out at Target, so I picked her up and away we went. I had no intentions of buying the guinea pig yet, I was going to wait until a few days before Christmas. When we got to the pet store, the little brown guy I had my eye on was gone. I was kind of bummed, but there was 1 other critter that caught my eye. DeArley and I talked and decided I would go ahead and buy him, but keep him at her house so we could work with him and calm him down, and then on Christmas Eve I would go pick him up and of course surprise the kids Christmas morning. Well, I didn't last more than 12 hours. I kept thinking of his silly face and funny hair so I picked him up last night and we surprised the kids. DeArley went to the front door and rang the bell while I went in the back door and put him inside. I came back through the front door and we talked for a few minutes. I took my camera down and pressed record while she sent the kids down stairs to see "what the noise was."They could not believe their eyes. Infact they weren't sure if it was even real until it moved. Daisy was almost in tears, Grace4 was beyond excited, at one point Willow said she wanted a turtle, but then later said, "this is awesome." Tristin was excited and I was happy to see my kids so excited. It was priceless.
I couldn't wait...
I bet you never thought you would read that! But yes, I bought a guinea pig, and no, I couldn't wait until Christmas to give it to the kids. What has happened to me? Not sure!

It hurts...
Mom & Brent are on the plane right now flying back home to Seattle, and my heart hurts so much. I just gave myself permission to cry until all the tears were gone, but sadly, there are a lot of tears to get out. I just love my Mama and it hurts without her. Every time she leaves I resort back to a 3 year old who needs her Mom to make everything feel better. And she does. But when she leaves, I just fall apart. We had a great visit, but like always, it was too short. They flew in Friday at 12:25 and left today at 12:55. We got them checked in, went to Costco and bought a gingerbread man decorating kit, came home and had lunch, played Yahtzee & Sorry and then Trav came home. Later we went to drop off library movies, stopped at the dollar store to shop and pick out fabulous BINGO prizes, picked up pizza, came home and ate and then went to the school for Tristin's music concert. Friday night Tristin stayed the night with G-ma & G-pa at their hotel. Saturday I picked them up and brought them back to the house, we visited for awhile and then Mom & I went out for a few hours to hit the thrift stores and check out Gordman's. Trav & G-pa took the kids to the park and We made it home in time for the boys to go watch the BSU game, we made soup for dinner, went out to Panda Expressfor lunch, got hit on by a 80 year old man, came home & relaxed. I showed Mom clips from "the Voice" and tried to convert her to the show (She is a HUGE American Idol fan, so I knew she would like it) The boys came home and we ate dinner, played BINGO, and then went over to the hotel to go swimming. We stayed for awhile and then the girls got to stay the night. They layed in bed and watched movies, ate ice cream & popcorn and had lots of fun. This morning I picked them up, we picked up breakfast, came home and ate, decorated ginger bread men, G-pa went shopping for toys and then it was time to leave. We drove them to the airport but I had to go in just to have 10 more minutes with them. We hugged and cried and then hugged and cried again. They left and Daisy and I cried all the way back to the van. We held each other and just cried. I told her when it hurts that much, it just means we love each other alot. Thank you so much Mom for making another trip out this year. We were blessed to see you guys 3 times this year! We love you both so much!
