Yeah, I forgot my baby...

Friday after running some errands, I stopped at Albertson's to grab a few veggies and stamps. I needed stamps really bad and told the girl's a hundred times: "Don't let me forget the stamps!" I was chatting with DeAnna, the checker, trying to keep the girls from twirling the conveyor belt, and trying to get my stuff in the cart. I checked out, was in the middle of talking to Grace when I walked away and got in the Customer Service line to get my stamps. Josie came and tickled Willow and we stood waiting in line for a minute or two. Josie came back over with my cart, baby and diaper bag and said: " Emily, did you forget something?"  I looked over and  died laughing. "Uh, yeah, only my child!" I said. We had a good laugh and it was a good thing I was at Albertson's were everyone knows us by name. DeAnna, Josie and Catherine were all right there watching him, but I had honestly forgotten everything. I joked about it a few times after and then today when I went in for some milk, I was joking with DeAnna again about how funny that was. She said, "Yeah, the woman behind you thought you were the worst Mother and said she would have slapped you!" Well, that was a little harsh, but then she said, "Don't worry, I told her you were a very good Mother." I thanked her for her nice words and laughed it off saying, "Yeah, I bet she was the perfect Mother too and never did anything wrong." I just thought it was nice that she stood up for me. (Honestly, the Customer Service line was probably 20 feet away so it wasn't like Roman was in any danger with 3 woman loving all over him! It's just good to be reminded how imperfect I am and that mean ladies want to slap me!

They should join the circus!

Our house is a whirwind of girls bouncing, jumping, twirling, balancing & doing headstands. It's mostly Grace, but Willow decided to join in the fun last night!

Roman...

Sorry, but when you are baby # 5, you kind of get deposited wherever Mom was last. At least Roman likes his bouncy swing!

Our little cross dresser...

The girls are always doing silly things to Roman when I am out of the room or gone for 2 minutes. You know, just your normal: cotton balls taped to his head, stamps stamped all over his body, dressing him up in nightgowns and dresses and adding headbands or flowers to his head. The poor thing has no clue what is going on either- he just smiles and smiles at you. I laughed yesterday when I came out to find this little number!

Two of my favorite things...

I have to say, Roman & coupons happen to be 2 of my favorite things in the world! The other night while I was pulling my expired ones, Roman was hanging out next to me waiting for his next milk induced coma. I guess I took too long to feed him because he started munching on the coupons instead. He does love those fingers too!

Christmas decorating has begun...

The kids are so excited for Christmas, so we started decorating last night. I'm one of those silly people who actually has  to wait until Dec 1st to start anything Christmasy (except shopping, I like to get that done early) so we put on some tunes last night and away we went. We put up a few lights, the tree, decorations and  had fun looking at all the  ornaments my Mom has bought the kids over the years. She gives each of them an ornament every Christmas so when they leave the house, they will have enough to start their own tree. It is always fun looking at all of them. I love this time of year and I love looking at our little fake tree decoated beautifully each year by excited little kids. Now if I could just find the extra stocking I bought a few years ago for future baby # 5 so all the stockings would match!

Cheeto is loved... or tortured?

The other day I tried making Cheeto a leash, so I could return the one I had bought, but it didn't go so well. I tried the bottom part on him and although it was around him snuggly, he kept getting out. After that, I didn't even worry about making the rest- the actual leash, I just stopped. I'm sure if I would have sewed the bottom part, we would have been fine, but I gave up. Last night I showed Tristin what I had started, so he had to try it on him. We made a few notes for alterations incase I tried again, so we'll see! Here's Cheeto, the poor thing!

Kara's baby shower

Yesterday was sweet Kara's baby shower so DeArley, Angie and I rode over together. It was a great shower with wonderful food! Love you Kara!

Cheeto goes to school...

It was probably the 2nd day we had Cheeto that Tristin came home from school and said his teacher would let him bring him in to show the class. On Friday at 3:00, we carried him in and let Tristin shine. He told the kids all about him and let them hold & pet him. It was pretty cute (minus the fact he needed a haircut, which he recieved last night!) While kids were waiting their turn to pet Cheeto, a herd of 5th graders started surrounding Roman like he was covered in candy or something. Before I knew it, a 1/3 of the class were playing with him, and making him smile & laugh. All I kept thinking was, Please get away from my baby, don't give him head lice, dont breathe on him, don't touch his hands because he will suck on them in 5 seconds getting whatever nasty germs you have, and please don't pick him up. I just smiled and took pictures while Tristin walked around to all his friends. Here's a few pictures!
