Weekend get-a-way...
Trav and I just had our first weekend get a way and it was so wonderful and relaxing! We went way up past Silver Creek and found the perfect spot near the river. It was Heaven!
( although running water and a toilet would have been nice! ) It was really hot but we cooled off in the river, relaxed in our old people chairs, read books, played Yahtzee in which my score was 471, went on a hike, took naps, slept in, went to bed early, cooked amazing food, talked, played go-fish, and sat and watched the trees. It was wonderful, needed and something I wish we could do often.
Sister Green was amazing and watched the kids while we were away. We would be lost without her- thank you friend for giving us the chance to be a couple for 48 hours.
Scout camp...
Tristin was gone for almost a week for scout camp. He got back 4 days ago and I have to admit, I started missing him half way through the week. I'm glad he had fun, got some merit badges and was able to experience all that he did. I love the Scouting program and I'm super thankful to the leaders who went and watched over the boys!
Wedding Party!
2 1/2 weeks ago Dad & Bev had their wedding party at Idaho pizza! We ate yummy food, met Cassie and her family for the first time, took silly pictures and ate cake! I can't believe I have step sisters! They are super fun, sweet and a blast to be around! Yeah for everyone!
Dad moves out & gets married!
I went over and helped Dad clean for a hour the last day he had his apartment. We said goodbye to a fun place where we made lots of memories! He and Bev got married on June 28th in her church, just the 2 of them. (besides the pastor, his wife as the witness and a friend who took pictures!) I helped him get the balloons and flowers over to the coffee shop where they met and we even hit a yard sale on our way to the church! I left and they got married and then spent the week moving Dad into the house! Bev is a sweetheart and I'm thankful for the memories we've made so far!
Dr visits and 4th of July...
It felt great to get all the kids in for their well child check ups, tristin's 7th grade shots, Roman's 2 year old shots, a physical & perscription pick up. It took several days to get them all in, but we did it! Finally!!
More jam & the fair...
Tristin and I made salsa and jam awhile ago. It was fun to have his help and he loved it when I kept taking pictures!!
We also had a fun time at the fair. It was a nice cool day and we had fun looking at all the booths and animals!
Daisy gets a perm...
Miss Daisy has been begging for a perm for over a year, so a few weeks ago I gave her one. She has never been able to hold curl and it hasn't lasted, but at least we tried! ( there is a little wave to it now, but it pretty much did what I thought it would :(
