My little man...

After watching Julie & Julia today, I wanted to try a new reciepe- so Tristin and I hopped in the kitchen and made homemade Macaroni & cheese! It was really different than my normal one- so I had to give it a try.(I found it on Fabulesslyfrugal.com. Tristin, who LOVES to cook (who would have thought, huh? With a Mom like me!)wanted to make mashed potatos, so he did, using 1 lonely potato.
I can't believe how grown up he looks too. What a lovely, sad day when you realize your little man isn't so little any more...

At the park...

Here's a few with the kids and I! I'm never in pictures (not that want to see myself, but I do want evidence that I was around!)

We took the kids to the park Sunday afternoon (in 100 degrees!) to feed the ducks. While we were there the kids were catching little fish & water skeeters and Trav caught a crawdad! The kids were totally amazed by it so they had to play with it, while I was grossed out completely by the pond water splashing around and the kids touching the nasty creature- but they had fun and promptly bathed when we got home!

Feeding the Ducks...

The kids all passed their swim lessons and will advance next year! great job kiddos! The last day was "fun day" so they were able to go down the slide and I laughed so hard when both Daisy & Grace came out all wild and crazy!

Swim Lessons are Complete!

Last Friday was the kids last day of swim lessons and they had a great time! It was fun watching them learn and develop and enjoy the water even more. Willow had a blast too sitting on the edge of the pool for 2 weeks with her little toes in the water. Thanks again Mom for making this happen!

Somethings are worth the money...

I finally bit the bullet and turned my blog into a book! Well, actually, 2 books, because it wouldn't fit into 1! I had 4 years to organize, over 800 posts & almost 3000 pictures to deal with. I kept it simple and after editing for a million hours- I just gave up and said who cares? So my 510 pages are filled with spelling errors and typos and I don't even care! I'm just thrilled to have them in my hands!!!
I am SOOO grateful I did it too. I really debated because I knew I should keep making double payments on our credit card- but I had such a strong feeling I should do it too, so when I had a few extra cleaning jobs come my way, I decided to FINALLy do it! (We also had a scare last month where we thought we had lost ALL of our family photos- thousands of them. We were sick to our stomachs and it was honestly awful to imagine all of those years gone. I was a little comforted because the blog covered the last 4 years- but I started thinking, what if ssomething happened to the blog too? So I really prayed and felt it was the right thing to spend the $ on! Luckily Trav recovered our pictures and they are now safely copied)
I can justify it in so many ways too! # 1- my blog has become my personal journal. # 2- I'm keeping track of what the kids do everyday # 3- it's a wonderful family history book that can be passed down too!...somethings are worth the money!

When it's too hot to play outside...

The kids were watching a movie today and I thought they looked pretty cute!

Why I love my husband...

This is why I adore him...
he still rocks Daisy at bedtime.

$ 3.00 Yard Sale Treasure!

Trav has been complaining for years about wanting a "Home Teacher" chair. I always told him we didn't have room (or the $), but when I saw this beauty at a yard sale for $ 3 bucks- I knew I could find the space!
