Christmas...

We had a really nice Christmas and stayed here in town. The passes were too scarey- so I cooked a turkey, we went caroling, had dinner at the Hassing's and relaxed- it was a great day filled with lots of super presents and lots of fun!It was nice to be with Trav and the kids and start out own thing in our new place- I missed family though- it was strange not to be with them, but it worked out and it was a nice day.

Random- Christmas Break-

We had a fun and relaxing break!

Grace's 8th B-day party!

Grace wanted an art party this year, so we hurried and threw it together in less than a week- Her bday sneaks up and with the move- I hadn't started planning in advance like normal. It turned out fine, the girl's had a blast and Santa came down the street during the party too- it was perfect timing! She had a great night- We love you Gracie- Lou!

Tristin's band concert & parties...

Tristin did a great job at his 1st concert! We were proud! We also spent several hours at the school helping with Christmas parties! Lots of fun!

G-pa comes for a visit!

My Dad came for a over nightter last month and we had a great time! we played, talked, relaxed and didn't want him to leave. It was great to be with him for just a short time- thanks Dad!

Temple trip...

Last month we drove to Spokane and went to the temple with our friends! It was a super fun day and was 7 hours of driving round trip- we were so spoiled with the Boise temple 20 minutes away! It was great and it will make each temple trip more special because of the sacrafice to get there. We had a great time- I'm so thankful for great friends already!

Random....

My view...

Back home in Idaho I never sat- there was never time. But here in Washington, I have learned the art of sitting and my favorite spot is on my couch that looks out toward the mountains. I watched my neighbors tree turn color in the fall and then I watched it turn the most gorgous yellow before dropping all its leaves. I was actually sad as it shed because I could feel the cold blowing in and the seasons changing. We had the most beautiful sunrise last week and then the snow came a few days later. I am trying to sit, breath and enjoy the simple pleasures. I am trying to be in the moment more and realize that my moments are few and the time I waste feeling sad benifits no one. I am making progress... it's slow, but it's in the right direction now.
