Roman's first Sunday at church...
Yesterday was Roman's first time going to church. He wasn't very excited to get his picture taken though!
My boys...
Tristin is in love with his little brother. He's always holding him and it's darling.
(Yes, Tristin has had a haircut since this picture. I do care a little!)
Block Party...
On Saturday we took the kids to a block party at a church near by and it was AWESOME! I was really impressed and the kids had a great time. Everything was free and there was tons to do and see. Free hot dogs and water, cotton candy, games, face painting, bouncy houses, helicopter rides, a live band, strong man events, free goodies, and tons of booths to look at. It was a really hot day so we only stayed for 2 hours- but it was a lot of fun!
Team USA...
There is something about the Olympics that brings Trav and I together- we just love watching it! (Perhaps it's laying in our bed doing NOTHING!)No, actually, we just really love watching the events. The other night for the opening ceramony- we celebrated with gold medals and flags in our grilled cheese sandwiches. The kids thought it was amazing. Oh, how simple they are to please...
PS: Don't even ask when the last time was that I combed their hair, either!

My chunky monkey...
Willow wanted to hold Roman this morning and these were the silly pictures I was able to get. He is a wonderful baby so far. He eats super, sleeps great and burps/poops like a champ. We are loving every minute with him! He is growing a little and is now
9 lbs and 2 oz!

Leaving for Seattle...
Late Wed afternoon, I was sitting feeding the baby when Daisy came up to me and asked, "Mom, when are we going to see G-ma April again?" I looked at her and said" I don't know sweety." I sat there for a few seconds and my brain started twrilling- why not leave tomorrow and surprise her??? We didn't have anything going- no plans, no Dr appointments until the following week- just lots of time. I called my G-ma to see what the likelyhood would be for us to stay with them, and it was good! Trav came home and we had several talks about it throughout the evening, but instead of surprising her, he wanted me to talk to her first and make sure it was ok. He was thinking of their end and didn't want to impose on anyone. We knew it was going to be a busy weekend with them moving- but that's exactly why I wanted to go- to help them move! I had been telling Mom for months and months how I wish I was there to help her dejunk, and then help with her yard sale, and then pack and then move- but everytime, I was pregnant- until now! We were just sitting at home doing nothing, so why not take a spur of the moment trip and help? It made total sense in my mind. I was feeling ok after 6 days of resting & Roman was perfectly healthy. Everything was lining up for us to go. After talking to Mom and surprising her, and then rechecking with G-ma- we had the green light to start packing! I stayed up as late as I could packing but collapsed into bed before I could finish. In the morning I resumed the lengthly process of packing for 7 people and by 10:20 AM we were on the road! 13 hours and almost 500 miles later we arrived at G-ma's house after 11:00 PM. We stayed 4 days and made it home last night after 11:PM. It was a long drive home as well. After 1,143 miles- we were tired. Traveling with 5 kiddos was eventful. Roman was perfect and just slept and ate- but the big kids drove us crazy with all their fighing and arguing. We made it though. Thank you Lord! We had a wonderful time and everyone loved our little man. I'm really glad everything worked out for us to go home, now I think I'll rest a little...
Moving Day...
We moved into this house when I was in 6th grade- 1992. It was a little sad saying goodbye, looking at the silly mailbox I painted when I was in Jr. High and then driving down the street to leave, knowing it would be my last time there. I am thrilled for my Mom & Brent to be starting a new chapter in their lives though with a new house!
Staying at Grammy's & G-pa's house...
When I called my G-ma Wed night to see if we could stay with her for a few days, she did what she always does- welcomed us with open arms. She did laugh a little when I told her we wanted to leave the very next morning though. It took 13 hours to get there and we showed up after 11:00 PM. We had fun, the kids played BINGO, went for walks, helped in the garden, played Nintendo, ate pancakes & waffles and visted with G-ma & G-pa.
