...and the blocks
Craft Show here we come...
I was really excited a few months ago when I recieved my business name for all the art/craft things. Whoopsy Daisy is the name and I hope to have the web site running in awhile, but as trav and I are finding out, websites are tricky! (Audra, I need you!) This Saturday I'll be in my first craft show and I am really excited. I needed something for me, so for the past 6 weeks, I've been going like crazy trying to get things made. If you need afordable gift idea's for Christmas/birthday's/baby shower's, come on out! I'll be at: First Congregational Church 55 S. Midland Blvd. in Nampa. (A block away from Lonestar/Midland Blvd.)

Here's the proof...
It's official.... I'm an A cup
In May I was feeling a little adventureous for my upcoming anniversary, and decided to go into Victoria's Secret to try on a few things. Remembering what Romy had said about their bras changing her life, I decided to finally give it a whirl (why, I don't know, because I HATE bras with a passion) but I went ahead and did it. A beautiful sales woman, with cleavage oozing out of her shirt, whipped out her measuring tape and wrapped it around me. Next, she said the 2 funniest words ever... "34 B".
I thanked her and walked away completely in shock because we both knew I was definatly NOT a B cup. I was baffeled because she stood there and lied right to my face! I figured that's what they told all the flat girls to make them feel good about themselves!
So, my recent visit with Chelsea & Andrea confirmed my initial beliefs.
Chelsea was going on about her new bra from Victoria's Secret and dragged me in the other night to try some on. " Come on Em, they will change your life."
Well, okay, I thought, 2 girls can't be wrong, so a nice saleswoman helped me get started in the dressing room. I must admit I was struggling a bit, and before I knew it, the lady asked, "Can I come in?"
Come in? I thought, but I'm in my garments! So I whispered, "I'm LDS and I'm wearing garments, I don't mind, but you may have never seen under garments like these before!"It didn't phase her a bit, because in 2 seconds she was in adjusting the straps, telling me not to worry and trying to work some magic, but then she paused and said, "Humm, there's a lot of gapping right here (making the ginormous cup size even more obvious) Why don't we try an A cup."
"I KNEW IT!" I said!
I knew those little things were not B's, infact everyone who's seen me could testify that they were definatly not B's, I had been right all along! I was so relieved! After all the hassel, those crazy bras did not change my life, so I left the store empy handed. I know it is an awfully sad confession, but I love sports bras. I just do. They are comfortable and they just make me happy and on the rare ocassion when it calls for a bra, I'm fighting the horrid thing the entire time, and besides, I'm an A cup, I don't even need a bra!

The best husband ever...
A little while ago Trav said he was going to Best Buy to pick something up. Because the kids were in the tub, and I couldn't go with him, I asked him if he would run into Michael's for me and pick up some more silver rhinestones that I needed for my current project. Without much hesitation, my sweet husband set off to his very "manly" store to pick up a video game he'd been wanting and then to the craft store to buy my silver "sparklies." Even better, he went with me last night as well just so we could both use the 50% off coupon! What husband goes to the craft store 2 nights in a row to buy silver rhinestones? Yes, I am one lucky lady!

Handing it over to Heavenly Father...
A few weeks ago Trav's company (EDS) was bought out by HP. We, being silly people thought it was going to be a great thing, possibly advancement possibilities, pay raises (you know, all those things we dream about), but a few days ago we found out that it was probably not going to be so great for us. HP is now laying off over 25,000 people here in the next while. Of course we don't have a clue what is going on and if he will have a job next week or next month, which is why I'm asking for some prayers in our direction. You know me, I don't ask for much, and I'm not even asking that he keeps his job, what I'm asking for from the Lord is peace. I worry about everything on the planet, but I can't change what is to come. I can't wave my magic wand and make it the way it should be. But this time, I just handed it over to him and said "I trust you."
That is something I've probably only done twice before in my entire life.
I needed the oppertunity to grow closer to him, to lean on him and to trust more fully, and not that this is happening because of that, it's just amazing that how when we ask for something, we usually get it. I've been amazed as well by when I have moved out of the Lord's way, stopped controling the universe and just let him do his work, amazing things have happened.
I cannot change the outcome, and we might get lucky for awhile, who knows, what I do know is that God loves me beyond words, he is aware of my needs and even when things are uncertain and the worry is about to swallow us alive, he is there to help pull us back to solid ground. No matter what happens, I trust that we will be taken care of. We always have been and I know we always will be.

" There's nothing wrong Mom, I'm just going to change my underware..."
So, Tristin just came in from playing outside with his friends and said to me in passing, "Don't worry Mom, there's nothing wrong, I'm just going to change my underware."
With our past week of direaha, & vomit, my mind went to an unpleasant place and I stumbled, "Okay, then Bud, why do you need to change your underware?" "Oh, so I can be a cool kid." (Then showing me his underware) he says, "because these are not boxers. Cool kids wear boxers. Jacob is wearing them so I want to wear them too and be a cool kid." Well, alrighty then... how do I argue with that? Just one of those funny moments with my beautiful 6 year old boy!
